Rui Borges, coach of Moreirense, commented on the team's objectives which, after beating Desp. Chaves 1-0 in the last round of the League, reaching 35 points.
"Our ambition has to be demonstrated game by game. What we show game after game is what will take us on our way, the group is the one who responds to their ambition. After the 35 points, which we think they can to stay in the League, we have to demonstrate our ambition. More than defining objectives, it is the group that has to say what its ambition is", he stated after the victory against the Flavienses.
At this point, Moreirense occupies sixth place in the League, with 35 points. They have 7 more than Arouca, who are behind, and are five behind Vitória SC and SC Braga.
"More than specific objectives, we have to understand that we are sixth and what we can do to reach fifth place. Whoever is above us is also being competent. More than defining objectives, it is the group that has to say what is your ambition, whether it is to reach fifth, whether to stay sixth, realizing that whoever is ahead has been very competent", he concluded.
Moreirense's next game is at a high level: they host leader Sporting on Monday.
