Francisco Machado Signs for Lusitânia de Lourosa

Lusitânia de Lourosa have officially announced the signing of Francisco Machado, who has agreed a contract running until 2029, underlining the club’s commitment to a player regarded as both a present and future asset for the squad.
After impressing with Académico de Viseu’s Under-23 side last season, Francisco Machado now takes the next step in his career by joining the Liga 2 club’s project.
With this long-term deal, Machado will have the opportunity to showcase his qualities in a new competitive environment and continue his development at a higher level.
Machado spent most of his youth career at Benfica and has represented Portugal at youth international level. He previously played for Académico de Viseu, first with the club’s U19 team and, since 2023, with the Under-23 squad.
