Rui Borges puts Vilafranquense at the top places

With five victories and two defeats in the first seven rounds, Vilafranquense is having a beautiful start to the season, currently occupying 2nd place in the II League, alongside Farense.
Rui Borges (pictured), coach of the Vila Franca de Xira team, is the helmsman of a group that has been a positive surprise.
Still without draws, Vilafranquense played in some of the most entertaining games of the II Liga, such as the victory over Benfica B and Trofense, by 3-2 and 3-1, respectively. In consecutive weeks, they won, at home, Benfica B and, away, FC Porto B.
Anthony Correia has been one of the most outstanding players in Rui Borges' team. The central defender, hired this season, has fully established himself in the team. He started in the 7 games already played and just didn't play the last 4 minutes of matchday 7, due to having seen a red card that will also prevent him from playing in the next matchday.
Vilafranquese will play on October 2, at 3 pm, for the Portuguese Cup, in Évora, against Juventude.
