Rui Borges will debut in the League in 2023/24. The coach has already been introduced and started the pre-season at Moreirense, the club that opened the doors for him to the main Portuguese championship.
After passing through Vilafranquense and CD Mafra last season, Rui Borges arrives in the League to guide the champion of last season's II Liga, a team with tradition in Portuguese football and which will certainly seek to carry out a peaceful championship.
“The ambition is great and the desire to work is enormous. We will have difficulties, like everyone else, but we will show the ability to overcome them, ”he told journalists on the first day of work.
Moreirense is the 7th club in the career of the 41-year-old coach, who, in addition to those already mentioned, also coached Mirandela, Académico de Viseu, Académica and Nacional.
