Promosport Honors André Castro

15 Oct 2025

Promosport honored André Castro for his brilliant career built over several years, both in Portugal and abroad, which culminated at the end of last season.

Currently working for FC Porto's coaching staff, the former midfielder retired at the end of the 2024/25 season, playing for the Dragons' B team. FC Porto was, after all, his main club throughout his career.

It was at FC Porto that he spent much of his youth development and won the most important titles of his career: 1 Europa League, 3 Championships, 2 Portuguese Cups, and 1 Super Cup.

In Portugal, Castro also played for Olhanense, where he won the Liga 2 championship, SC Braga, and Moreirense.

Abroad, he played in Spain, with Sp. Gijón, and in Turkey, wearing the jerseys of Kasimpasa and Góztepe, for seven seasons.
