Rui Borges and his arrival in the League: "I was aware that one day it would happen"

Rui Borges was the guest on the Futebol Total TV show, on Canal 11, on Tuesday. The Moreirense coach addressed several topics, from his career to the team's current situation, including the role of the coach itself.
In his debut year in the League, one of the themes was, inevitably, the moment he is experiencing at the helm of Moreirense: “I have always been aware that things happen when they have to happen. It happened after seven years. Happy it happened. More than that, I was aware that one day it would happen.”
As a coach who worked his way up, Rui Borges highlights that “it was very important to experience different realities”, remembering the role that Mirandela, a club from his hometown, played when it opened its training doors to him.
Now, Rui Borges is in the League but, on a personal level, he says that little has changed: “I'm the same person. We ended up being better known to some people, but it’s the same for me.”
Rui Borges was also surprised by his son, Mário Borges, who plays for SC Covilhã in League 3, and sent him a message. The coach projects an interesting future for Mário Borges, believing that he can reach the League, especially due to the focused and committed way in which he works.
