Pedro Pinho joins Universitatea Cluj

Romanian side Universitatea Cluj have secured the signing of Portuguese midfielder Pedro Pinho from GD Chaves. The 25-year-old has signed a three-year contract, embarking on his first experience in Romanian football.
Having developed through the youth ranks of clubs such as FC Porto, Académica and Sanjoanense, Pedro Pinho joined GD Chaves in 2023 and established himself as an important figure in the club’s midfield over the past seasons.
During the recently concluded campaign, the Vale de Cambra-born footballer remained a regular presence in the Transmontano side, continuing the steady progress he has made since arriving at Chaves. While representing the club, he amassed dozens of appearances in Portuguese professional competitions.
Pedro Pinho now takes on a new challenge in his career, joining a Universitatea Cluj side looking to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season and pursue its ambitions in Romania’s top flight.
