What a great way to make your debut scoring! Raphael Guzzo scored the first goal for Goiás and earned three very important points in the fight to stay in the Brasileirão.
The midfielder scored the only goal of the game against Coritiba in the 70th minute, guaranteeing a very important victory. Goiás remains in 17th place, two points away from the salvation zone.
Guzzo started, in what was the 11th game of the season for the midfielder. “It was a very important victory. We knew it was a decisive game for us. During the last few days, we got together and talked a lot. We knew it was necessary to change some things, especially in terms of attitude. I believe this was noticed on the field today. We are united and alive,” he stated.
Next Thursday, Goiás will host Santos, in another very important game, against a direct rival trying to escape relegation: “This war is over. There is no time to celebrate. Santos is already knocking on the door. We have a very important game against them. We have to go in with the same attitude and the same levels of concentration that we had in that game.”
